The Duchess of Sussex is a packing-pro
Meghan Markle may have swapped press junkets for royal tours, but that doesn’t mean the Duchess of Sussex does any less travelling. Alongside her husband Prince Harry, the former Suits actress still spends a lot of her time on planes – the couple recently announced they will be taking a royal tour of Southern Africa later this year, so her packing skills will come in handy – and apparently there’s one thing she always carries.
On her now-deactivated blog The Tig, Meghan once advised her readers to always use dryer sheets while packing and to layer them between shirts, skirts, and dresses. ‘Your clothes will smell fresh when you arrive — and especially when you return home,’ she wrote.
Additionally, the Duchess revealed that she always carries hand sanitiser: ‘I’m no germophobe, but when I get on a plane I always use some quick hand wipes or a travel sanitiser spray to wipe it all down: that includes the little TV, the service tray, and all the buttons around your seat.
‘Sure, the person next to you may give you a side eye, but at the end of the flight, you’ll be the one whistling dixie with nary a sniffle,’ she added.
Meghan also explained that she only brings multi-functional products to save room in her carry-on. ‘Pack your favourite multi-use stick and face spritz for a quick touch up on cheeks, lips, face when you land.’
As mentioned, The Tig is no longer live so make sure to take a mental note of Meghan Markle’s packing tips – and try to remember them the next time you’re packing for a trip.
