The iconic wedding dress designer's, Vera Wang, marriage has come to an end

Iconic wedding dress designer Vera Wang, has separated from her husband, Arthur Becker, after nearly 23 years of marriage.

The designer has made wedding dresses for many celebrities, including Victoria Beckham, Chelsea Clinton, Kate Hudson, and most recently, Kim Kardashian.

Ms Wang's separation comes two weeks before her and her husband's wedding anniversary.

Mr Becker was a computer executive who became increasingly involved with his wife's brand through the years.

He advised Ms Wang closely as her business developed from an Upper East Side one-stop bridal shop into a global multimillion-dollar brand.

The couple married in 1989 after being engaged the year before. They have two daughters, Cecilia and Josephine.

Ms Wang, who was 39 at the time of marriage, was design director for Ralph Lauren women’s accessories and at-home wear.

For her own wedding she hired a dressmaker to create her own gown for $10,000.

In a statement released earlier the president of Ms Wang's company, Mario Grauso says, 'Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.'
