Check out these pictures of Alexa Chung's very first foray into the designer world - her debut collection for Madewell.

Having only just announced a partnership with the US brand back in January, the pretty presenter has been hard at work to get her first collection ready in time for New York Fashion Week.

Alexa chose to stage the presentation as a pretend photo shoot, having her models pose among a set of vintage suitcases, bicycles and flowers - in an off-site location at Manhattan's Bowery Hotel.

And consisting of preppy shorts, long scarves, pretty tea dresses, casual tees and that undeniably Alexa socks ‘n' sandals combo, the collection looks as though it could have come straight out of Miss Chung's wardrobe.

But the best news? Despite the fact that it might not necessarily be available over here right away, Madewell is a high street brand - sister to US giant J. Crew - so the pieces are pretty much guaranteed to be nice and affordable.
