River Island is launching a stylish and practical active range. Yes please.

Work out in style...
Whether it’s inspired by the designer athleisure boom or the annual glut of pre-summer resolutions to hit the gym more regularly, next month you can expect to see even more women than usual wearing stylish workout gear as River Island launches its first ever activewear line.
RI Active, a 21 piece collection, is the first fashion-meets-function range from our high street fave.
The collection - which includes crop tops, slim-fit leggings, shorts, vests, padded gilets, fleeces and hooded ponchos- launches in store and online in May and has been finely tuned to make sure that the details that set sportswear apart from everyday ready-to-wear are on point.
All of the pieces are designed to flatter the figure with deep waistbands, ergonomically designed seams, compact stretch and comfort fit fabrics so you can be sure to feel supported while you hit up your next HIIT class.
The colour palette features darker hues of black and khaki with flashes of neon yellow, whilst camouflage print adds an urban twist, making the collection just as easy to pair with denim at the weekend as it is to mix and match in with your current gym kit.
And following our recent discovery that the average gym kit lifespan is just six to 12 months, you need to make sure you get the most effective (and stylish) kit to hone that bod in time for summer.
