This weekend was quite a busy one for the Sussexes. The proud parents celebrated Archie's second birthday, releasing a picture of the tot holding balloons, and urging people to donate to the Vaccine Alliance, which buys Covid vaccines for countries that need it the most.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also served as the campaign chairs for Global Citizen's VAX Live concert, during which the Harry spoke on stage, calling for the equitable distribution of vaccines around the world.

The Duchess also made a virtual appearance on Saturday, speaking about the overtly negative impact the pandemic has had on women of colour.

'We've gathered tonight because the road ahead is getting brighter. But it's going to take every one of us to find our way forward. As campaign chairs of Vax Live, my husband and I believe it's critical that our recovery prioritizes the health, safety and success of everyone, particularly women who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic,' Meghan said during her impassioned speech.

She continued, 'Women, and especially women of colour, have seen a generation of economic gain wiped out. Since the pandemic began, nearly five-and-a-half million women have lost work in the U.S. And 47 million more women around the world are expected to slip into extreme poverty.

Meghan also explained that as parents who would soon welcome a daughter, she and Harry thought 'of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and the support to lead us forward. Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make and the actions we take now to set them up, and set all of us up, for a successful, equitable, compassionate tomorrow.'

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
