The department store launches copycat royal wedding dress collection to hit shops later this year
It was the dress that catapulted Pippa Middleton into the spotlight, made women around the world green with body envy, sent men gaga over her stunning figure and made future brides and bridesmaids desperate to recreate the look.
Well, now you can, thanks to Debenhams who have designed a more affordable dress similar to the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen creation Pippa wore to her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding earlier this year.
The high street version comes in a similar ivory colour to the designer dress and features the same cowl neck, cap sleeves and button detailing down the back, but will retail at just £170.
The dress, which was designed by the department store after being ‘inundated’ with customer requests, is expected to hit Debenhams shops nationwide later this year.
Also like the emerald green Alice Temperley dress Pippa wore to the royal wedding reception party? You’re in luck, because Debenhams has recreated that too. The floor-length high street dress will cost shoppers just £99.
What’s more, the store is also launching flower girl dresses for children, again inspired by those worn at the royal wedding, priced between £48 and £52 depending on age, and a black cocktail dress with similar lace sleeves and bodice to Kate Middleton’s wedding gown.
