Rihanna led the way at the CFDA Awards 2014.
The CFDA Awards, otherwise known as the Oscars of the fashion world, took place in New York last night.
Held at the Lincoln Center, and hosted by iconic director John Waters, the fashion bash attracted the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Blake Lively, Marion Cotillard and Solange Knowles, plus every fashion designer with his or her salt.
Rihanna was the star attraction on the night as she accepted the Fashion Icon Award from Anna Wintour. On receiving the honour, she said: ‘As long as I can remember, fashion has been my defense mechanism. As a child I remember thinking, she can beat me but she cannot beat my outfit.’
