Summit Entertainment insists promotion for Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is moving on 'full-steam ahead'
Kristen Stewart’s Twilight co-star Christian Serratos doesn’t think her fling with married director Rupert Sanders will harm the forthcoming movie franchise.
Two of the film’s biggest stars have been embroiled in a very public cheating scandal but insiders say the personal dramas between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will not hurt Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two at the box office.
Christian Serratos, who plays Angela in the movies, told Us Weekly: ‘Of course people are fans of us now, but I think above anything, they’re fans of these characters.
‘I don’t think anyone’s really gonna give a s**t. They’re gonna see the movie; it’s going to be awesome.’
She also added that hoped the pair would work things out between them, saying: ‘I support anyone who’s in love.’
And Summit Entertainment, the firm behind the movies, took the rare step of issuing a statement on the matter and insisting that promotional work behind the movie was going ‘full steam ahead.’
Marketing boss Nancy Kirkpatrick told Entertainment Weekly: ‘While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
‘We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.’
Following the shocking news that Kristen Stewart had cheated on her on-screen and real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married father-of-two director Rupert Sanders, it seemed uncertain whether promotional work on the final instalment of the vampire movies would go on.
Well you know what they say, no press is bad press. Unless you’re Kristen Stewart, perhaps.
