Elaine Paige has hit out at Britan's Got Talent star Susan Boyle, branding her 'a virus that swept the world'.
The Broadway star unleashed the bizarre rant as she attended the Southbank Awards last night.
Susan Boyle captured the world's hearts after she was catapulted to fame on reality talent show Britain's Got Talent.
And she has always held a special place in her heart for singing hero Elaine Paige, even getting the chance to duet with her on a special show before Christmas.
But it seems Elaine doesn't share Susan's warm-hearted feelings.
‘Susan Boyle is doing terribly well considering she literally came to the attention of the world overnight with the advent of YouTube,' she said.
'She was like a virus really that spread across the world in a nanosecond.
'She is a girl with no experience of anything to do with theatrics, the music business, or art in any way.'
Asked if she was happy about the worldwide acclaim the lovely Miss Boyle has achieved, Elaine replied: 'I don't particularly feel any pride for her - I'm sure she is proud of what she has done.'
