The artist is expecting her second child with fiancé Aaron Johnson
Sam Taylor-Wood and her Nowhere Boy, Aaron Johnson are expecting their second child, a spokesman for the couple has confirmed.
Sam, 44 and her 21-year-old beau – who got engaged last year – already have one child, one-year-old Wylda Rae.
The 20-year old actor and the 43-year-old artist and film director met on the set of Sam’s first film, Nowhere Boy back in 2009.
But their relationship has since been the subject of controversy, forcing the pair to speak out about their age difference after getting engaged last year.
‘I’m in love, I’m blissfully content and I’m pregnant. No one’s getting hurt,’ Sam said last May.
‘We’re in a loving relationship. We’re engaged. Everyone who matters is happy. Hang on… Exactly which bit of that do I have to defend or apologise for?’
In the past Sam, who has two teenage daughters from her marriage to Jay Joplin, has said it was Aaron who wanted to settle down, crediting him with giving her a ‘set of values.’
‘Aaron, almost before anything started between us, said he wanted kids. He was very clear about wanting a family,’ she said.
‘We hardly go out now – it’s just us. Aaron has brought a set of values I didn’t even know I was looking for – family values.’
She added: ‘He is more grounded. He has been getting work offers which he has turned down because he wants to be here for the crucial first months of Wylda’s life.’
Congratulations to the happy couple!
