Robert Pattinson steps out for first time since Kristen Stewart affair

Robert Pattinson looked happy and healthy at the premiere of Cosmopolis in New York

Robert Pattinson made his first public appearance since girlfriend Kristen Stewart admitted having a fling with Rupert Sanders.

The 26-year-old actor had understandably been laying low since the news emerged of Kristen's affair with the director of Snow White and the Huntsman, but his upcoming movie, Cosmopolis, forced him back into the limelight in New York last night.

The Twilight star showed no signs of his heartbreak as he took to the red carpet looking healthy, tanned and back to his best in a navy suit by Gucci.

Pattinson did give interviews on the red carpet but journalists refrained from asking him about the dramas going on in his personal life.

Earlier in the day, Robhad appeared on The Daily Show, where he managed to dodge the awkward questions host Jon Stewart threw at him.

But while Rob has bravely continued with his professional commitments, Kristen Stewart has pulled out of her planned appearance at the London premiere of On The Road this week.
