Robert Pattinson put his brush with the law behind him yesterday as he got down to work on the set of his new movie, The Rover.
The actor was snapped preparing for scenes in the hotly-tipped new flick, as filming got underway in the middday heat, in Hammond, South Australia.
Dressed in muddy trousers and a dark black shirt, Robert Pattinson showed off a closely cropped new ‘do and plenty of stubble as he ran through a series of scenes, surrounded by camera crew.
But forget vampires and pale face paint, Rob’s latest role couldn’t be further from his Twilight past.

Set in Australian desert, it’s thought we’ll see the actor racing across the Outback, after a gang who steal his car and last personal possessions.
Outside of work, it doesn’t seem like Robert Pattinson is getting on too well.
Yesterday it was revealed the actor had been cautioned by police, after riding his bike without a helmet.
Local law dictates cyclist must wear ‘an approved bicycle helmet that is properly adjusted and securely fastened’.
But after paparazzi pictures of Rob cycling around sans safety gear appeared in an Australian newspaper, police were on the case.
A South Australian police spokesman confirmed that the Twilight star had been ‘cautioned’, adding that officers were ‘confident Mr Pattinson is now well aware’ of the Australian laws.
‘He was spoke to and told of the requirement to wear a helmet when riding a bike in the state of South Australia,’ the spokesman revealed.
While Rob was issued with a warning, it’s thought the actor escaped a $90 fine, plus a $60 victims of crime levy.
