Pippa will be joined by her brother, James Middleton, for the ski marathon in Sweden
Is there no end to Pippa Middleton’s sporting talents? The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister is set to take part in a 56-mile cross-country ski marathon in the Swedish mountains this weekend.
The 27-year-old will be joined by her brother, James Middleton, for the famous race called Vasaloppet.
Writing on her JustGiving.com donation page, Pippa revealed that the pair were taking part in order to raise money for a child hunger charity.
She wrote: ‘My brother and I are raising money for Magic Breakfast, a small registered charity that fights child hunger through breakfast clubs and delivering free breakfasts (bagels, cereal, juice and porridge) to thousands of state primary school children in the UK particularly our inner cities.’
Meanwhile, the organisers of the Vasaloppet race are understandably excited that such a high profile person is joining them for the marathon.
Race spokesman Per Strid said: ‘It is now confirmed.
‘We have been contacted by a person close to them who has asked us if we could arrange this.
‘It’s really fantastic that such well known people will take part; it shows that our arrangements attract not only the most renowned skiers in the world but also some of the most famous personalities in the world as well!’
Pippa is famous for her sporting prowess, which earned her a scholarship at Marlborough College, and she even ran the Blenheim triathlon last year.
Good luck, Pippa and James!
