  • The royal bridesmaid went dancing on ice at at the launch of this year's Tiffany & Co. ice rink

Is there anything Pippa Middleton can’t do? She’s already proven herself as a party planner and can hold her own with the royal family, and yesterday the royal bridesmaid showed yet another one of her skills – ice skating.

The beautiful brunette took to the ice with a gaggle of girl pals at the launch of Tiffany & Co. Presents Skate at Somerset House – London’s most famous festive ice rink.

Joining a star-packed skating crown, including Judi Dench, Julien MacDonald, Kelly Hoppen and Melissa Odabash, Pippa dressed for warmth in a chic cream coat, black jeans and cosy leather gloves.

The VIP crowd watched singer Emeli Sande switch on the rink’s glittering Christmas lights, before treating them to an acoustic live performance, and then donned their boots for a spot of skating.

Gliding gracefully around the ice hand in hand with a blonde friend, the beaming royal sister-in-law seemed to be having a whale of a time, despite splitting with boyfriend Alex Loudon only recently.

It’s thought Pippa and Alex split briefly over the summer, after the ex-sports star struggled to cope with her life in the spotlight.

And although they were reunited – and even spied smooching outside the swanky Boodles Boxing Ball last month – it seems the relationship is finally over.

‘The plain truth is Alex adored Pippa but he couldn’t stand the circus that now surrounds her,’ a friend of the pair revealed of the split. ‘Nothing is straightforward anymore.’

Today a similar version of Pippa’s Sarah Burton-designed McQueen bridesmaid dress has gone on sale – for the bargain price of £1,995. We predict a sell out.
