The Duchess declined to try one thing during a lunch in Melbourne

Earlier this week, Kensington Palace announced that Meghan Markle is pregnant and all eyes have been on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ever since.

The newlyweds are preparing to welcome their first child, and while the gender of the royal baby will be a closely guarded secret, Harry has already revealed which girl's name he likes. Meghan has also opened up about her pregnancy, revealing that she is 'feeling pretty good' and 'running on adrenaline'.

The news came as Harry and Meghan touched down in Sydney, Australia as part of a 16-day royal tour, and so far they have been spotted looking loved-up under umbrellas and strolling along the beach (seriously, just look at their cutest moments - the pictures will melt your heart).

And while we know that Meghan has been making banana bread for her hosts, there is one thing that she refused to eat during a trip to Melbourne.

On Thursday, Harry and Meghan visited a restaurant called Charcoal Lane to try some native Australian foods and were given a 'touch, taste, smell' experience.

Apprentice chef Brooke Warr revealed that there was something that the Duchess was reluctant to try.

She told News.com.au: 'With the finger limes, they're like little caviars. When you eat it in your mouth it pops and the flavour is beautiful.

'It was optional if they wanted to taste it. Harry did but Meghan didn't. She was smelling it, but that's understandable because she's pregnant and being cautious.'

Program manager Troy Crellin also admitted that Harry declined to try something on the menu, too.

He said: 'Harry tried some [of the ingredients] but he wasn't game to try the pepper leaf, which is what we tend to give to the naughty kids anyway. It's a little bit hot.'
