Why Meghan Markle has ditched her go-to messy bun post-pregnancy

Meghan Markle is one of the most famous women in the world. From the fact she wants a rescue pup for her son, Archie Harrison, to her birthday plans, everybody wants to know - well, everything.

Although she is still on maternity leave, the Duchess of Sussex has broken it a few times now in order to support her loved ones. She attended Trooping the Colour to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, cheered on her friend Serena Williams at Wimbledon and attended The Lion King premiere earlier this week alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

Her appearance on the red carpet resulted in so many headlines - she met Beyoncé and this is what she told her, Elton John had something to say about her shoes and she finally addressed the online hate.

But one thing that fans are only just noticing is that she has ditched her go-to messy bun for a sleeker style. And apparently, it's all down to her pregnancy.

Meghan is known for wearing a textured low bun with short wavy layers framing her face, and often sported the look before and during her pregnancy. However, her most recent look sees her hair pulled back into a tight bun instead with not a hair out of place.

She recently opted for a similarly sleek ponytail when she attended Wimbledon alongside Kate Middleton.

So what has that got to do with the fact that she gave birth to her son, Archie Harrison, just two months ago?

Speaking to the Mail Online, celeb hair stylist James Johnson explained: 'When you're pregnant your hair cycle stops so you don't shed any hair. When you give birth, all the hair you should have lost in the nine months falls out over a quick period. Meghan may have opted for a scraped back bun to prevent her hair from further damage.'

So now you know.
