Liv Tyler opted for shorts and an all-black look with an edge of red at last night’s event
Liv Tyler refused to follow the red carpet rules at the The Hobbit premiere in New York on Thursday night and instead chose a more casual ensemble that gave a nod to the gothic craze.
The actress chose to parade her pins in silk shorts and hot red sandals. To work this look she covered up in opaques and tried the masculine trend in a tuxedo jacket and buttoned up blouse with a feminine spin thanks to lots of ruffles.
To finish things off, Liv Tyler wore a pillar box red shade on her full lips and showed off her incredibly glossy mane and as smiled for the cameras.
All eyes may have been on Liv last night, but we won’t be seeing her on the silver screen just yet because she doesn’t actually star in The Hobbit. Instead, she showed her support to the franchise for which she previously played Arwen in Lord of the Rings.
Also in attendance were Liv’s former co-stars Elijah Wood and Sir Ian McKellen who joined forces to ensure this film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel is a box office hit.
