Kate Middleton and Prince William will join the Queen during the prestigious Diamond Jubilee River Thames pageant
Kate Middleton and Prince William will join the Queen on her Royal Barge during this summer’s Diamond Jubilee River Thames pageant, it has been confirmed.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed the prestigious invitation ahead of the celebrations in three week’s time, and will join other royals, including Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on the special vessel.
The royals will travel down the Thames at the centre of a impressive flotilla, on the lavish red and gold barge, bedecked with a lavish royal banner and even thrones for the Queen and Prince Phillip to site on.
But all eyes are sure to be on couple Prince William and Kate Middleton, as they undertake one of their biggest royal engagements of the summer alongside the monarch at the event.
William and Kate have been keeping a low profile ahead of their summer of events, but did attend an Olympic gala last weekend, where Kate stepped out in a stunning Jenny Packham gown, before hitting the polo on Sunday.
According to workers at the store, Kate Middleton was ‘very polite’ and even asked their opinion on her potential purchases.
‘She just seemed to want to be low key,’ one shop worker told American magazine People, adding: ‘she was very cheery, very smiley.’
