Kate Middleton will be hosting an intimate tea party during a stopover in Malaysia - and fans are being offered the chance to win a ticket
Kate Middleton will be hosting an exclusive tea party in Malaysia during her visit to the country with Prince William next month – and fans are being offered the chance to win tickets.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the country on Thursday 13th September as part of their action-packed Diamond Jubilee tour, taking in Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, Borneo.
And while much of their visit will be made up of official engagements, officials have revealed Kate Middleton will also host a private tea party during her trip.
Lucky Malaysians are being offered the chance to win tickets to the exclusive soiree with Kate, in a nationwide Ultimate Royal Tea Party Competition, being organised by the country’s British High Commission.
‘A love of tea drinking is something which Malaysian and British people share,’ British High Commissioner Simon Featherstone said of the sought-after Kate Middleton event.
To get their hands on tickets, entrants must send a photo of themselves drinking tea, and the two best photos – one under 18 and one over 18, will be chosen.
‘What better way to mark this very special royal occasion than by inviting everyone to join in the celebration and send in a photo which demonstrates their creativity,’ the country’s High Commissioner continued, adding that William and Kate will both be present at the event.
During their trip, which begins on Sunday September 16th, Prince William and Kate Middleton will also journey to Singapore, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu, where they’ll spend one night at the country’s only hotel, before departing for home.
