Kate Middleton is apparently planning a second baby shower for Meghan Markle

Last week Meghan Markle attend her own baby shower, hosted by her close friends Amal Clooney and Serena Williams in New York. While it was reportedly a very small gathering, it still raised a few eyebrows when it was revealed Kate Middleton wasn't there.

But there's no need to worry, it wasn't because of the alleged feud, it was simply down to conflicting schedules, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were simply at home looking after their children since it was half term in the UK.

And it looks like Kate is going to make up for it by hosting a private shower of her own for her sister-in-law. A royal insider told Us Weekly, 'There is still going to be some sort of private baby-centric event for Meghan’s UK people, and Kate will host.'

'Her glam people and other relatives will be there. Not sure if it’s a total baby ‘shower,’ but you could probably call it that,' they added.

The reason it hasn't happened yet is that both royal couples have been busy. Meghan and Harry have just toured Morocco, whilst Kate and William are wrapping up an official visit in Norther Ireland.

But with the due date being sometime in April, it's likely the shower will happen in the next couple of weeks in case the baby decides to arrive early.

We're not sure what the guest list will be, but it might include Meghan's mum Doria Ragland, who wasn't at the New York shower, but is expected to travel to the UK soon to be with her daughter when the baby comes.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
