Kate Middleton heads to Caribbean for holiday with Prince William and her parents

Kate Middleton has chosen to unwind on the island of Mustique with her husband and family

Kate Middleton’s start to the year was blighted by ill health, with a stay in hospital for acute morning sickness. But after a busy line-up of public engagements, the Duchess has finally found some time for a break from the spotlight - and some much needed R&R in the Caribbean.

The Duchess of Cambridge has jetted to the island of Mustique with her husband, Prince William to relax in a stunning £19,000-a-week villa.

According to Royal Editor, Robert Jobson’s Twitter page, the property has a luxurious infinity pool, games room and stunning views out onto the Caribbean Sea.

While the couple enjoy a romantic holiday for two, Kate Middleton’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton are also staying on the island at a property down the road and will no doubt be on hand should Kate’s morning sickness return.

It was recently revealed Kate Middleton would take a month off from royal engagements with St James’s Palace confirming she will continue with her commitments ‘in the near future’.

And what a month off it’s set to be with time to unwind in the Caribbean.

On his return to the UK Prince Harry said he hoped his sister-in-law would be allowed to rest away from the public saying: ‘Hopefully she [the Duchess] gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with. I seriously hope that's going to be able to happen.'
