William and Kate have been enjoying some R&R at a chic French hideaway, ahead of their Jubilee visit
Kate Middleton and Prince William have been enjoying some series R&R ahead of their upcoming Diamond Jubilee tour, after jetting off on a romantic getaway to France.
It’s thought the royal couple journeyed to a chic French hideaway in Provence, to recharge their batteries in preparation for the overseas visit, on behalf of the Queen.
And it wasn’t just any old holiday home for the royal couple.
According to the Sunday Express, Prince William and Kate Middleton kicked back at the idyllic Chateau d’Autet a historic hunting lodge owned by the Queen’s nephew, Viscount Linley.
Set in 640 acres of woodland, the sprawling hideaway, which comes complete with a headed swimming pool and tennis court, is said to boast exception views of the French countrysiden as well as offering complete privacy.
Tomorrow, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will begin their second overseas tour, arriving in Singapore, before visiting Kuala Lumpur, Borneo and Tuvalu, the world’s fourth-smallest country.
With so many different engagement to make, William and Kate have increased the size of their team for their second overseas journey, and will be joined by several aides, including the couple’s official private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Kate Middleton’s personal secretary, Rebecca Deacon, and a freelance hairdresser, paid for by Prince Charles.
According to reports, Prince William has hired a private jet for the duration of their journey, while Kate Middleton has been hard at work planning over 30 different outfits for the trip.
