Kate Middleton's perfect evening in with Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince William love nothing more than settling down for a quiet evening on the sofa, according to reports

Kate Middleton and Prince William have always kept a relatively low profile when not out and about on official engagements - and now we know why.

According to insiders, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge love nothing more than snuggling up for a quiet evening on the sofa.

Sources say William and Kate, who have only attended charity evening events of late, have 'no interest in parties,' but do enjoy spending evenings together at home.

'They've grown out of clubbing and have no interest in parties. They just enjoy being together at home,' one insider told Vanity Fair.

Instead of nights out on the town, it's thought cooking her hubby a romantic meal is Kate Middleton's idea of the perfect evening.

'Kate was on the King's Road not so long ago carrying a shopping bag with chicken in it that she was taking home to cook for William's supper,' the insider continued. 'That's their idea of the perfect night.'

And while William and Kate are blissfully happy at home, apparently they aren't the only ones .

'There's a happiness in the House of Windsor generally at the moment for the first time ever. Charles and Camilla are genuinely happy. William is happy because Charles is troubled less and he has Kate to share his future with.'

Over the last week, the Duke and Duchess have been showing just how loved-up they are, giggling and flirting as they attend a packed schedule of Olympics events together - even putting on a rare PDA as they cheered Team GB cyclists to gold.

Yesterday, Kate Middleton joined by Princess Anne and champion rower Sir Steve Redgrave to cheer on Olympic sailors on board a swanky boat off the coast of Weymouth.

And over the weekend, the Duchess styled it up to hit several Olympic events alone, looking ridiculously elegant in Team GB sporting gear as she watched competitions in gymnastics and handball.
