David Beckham is to design his own underwear range following his success as the face of Armani.
The sight of David Beckham in his pants isn’t all that unfamiliar, and now the 36-year-old footballer is set to appear half-naked on billboards yet again - for his own range of men’s underwear.
Fashion runs in the family, after all, with wife Victoria designing womenswear that shows at New York fashion week every season. But now it’s David’s turn.
In collaboration with Victoria’s business manager Simon Fuller, he is launching his new fashion career.
The former Spice Girls manager told WWD: 'David and I have a number of ambitious and exciting ideas in development across a broad range of categories. The next 10 years will see David evolve into being recognised, not just as an iconic sports figure, but also as an important entrepreneur.'
During his four-year stint as the face of Emporio Armani’s underwear line the label saw its turnover double, proving just how bankable the Beckham brand is.
‘It proved to me that there is a real market for good-looking, well-made men’s bodywear,’ the modest star admitted.

And it sounds like David is getting truly stuck in with the design process, although as of yet there is no launch date set.
‘With my team we have spent time working on the fit, the fabric and the style to ensure the product looks and feels the very best and I am hugely proud of the end result.
‘I can't wait to show people the collection - although I'm not sure my mum will be too happy seeing a billboard image of me in underwear again,’ he admitted.
Ever the multi-tasker, he’s also got a new scent available in September – Homme by David Beckham.
With a daughter on the way, we think David’s in for a busy year!
