Cheryl has reportedly used one of the Born To Die singer's tunes for her third album

Cheryl Cole has reportedly recorded one of Lana Del Rey's unreleased songs for her new album.

The 28-year-old is apparently a big fan of the singer du jour, whose album, Born To Die, has been a huge hit all over the world.

So popular is the 25-year-old that she's already had a Mulberry bag named in her honour and appeared on Saturday Night Live in the US, despite only having released a couple of singles.

'Cheryl is a big fan of Lana and was intrigued to hear she had lots of songs written which she wasn't going to sing herself,' a source told The Sun. 'She got hold of one and was really taken with it.'

The chosen track is said to be described as an 'urban, mid-tempo ballad' and has been tipped to be one of the first singles released from Cheryl's third studio album.

It is has also been reported that Cheryl and Rihanna will be teaming up for a duet but this has yet to be confirmed.
