Cheryl Cole opens up on 'crazy' first meeting with Nicole Scherzinger

Cheryl Cole has spilled the beans on what happened when she first met ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, revealing the 'crazy' starlet sang a whole rendition of Promise This in her face.

In quotes leaked from Cheryl Cole's autobiography, Cheryl - My Story, which hits stores tomorrow, the singer also branded the X Factor 2012 judge 'odd', adding their first encounter was 'awkward' and 'embarrassing'.

'The first time I met Nicole was when she was performing on The X Factor in London,' she said.

"'Oh my God, Cheryl! You're just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!" she had gushed. It was really embarrassing.

'Then she started singing 'Promise This' to me, and I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face. It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again.

She continued: 'I thought how that would be like me going up to Britney and singing the whole of 'Baby, One More Time' in her face. Can you imagine how weird that would be?'

Cheryl also opens up on her US X Factor sacking and battle with malaria in the new book, revealing she was told by nurses death was a 'possibility' after falling ill.
