Girls Aloud will be celebrating ten years this November

We were wondering what we had to look forward to now that the Olympics are over, but never fear, because Cheryl Cole has confirmed that Girls Aloud will reunite in November. Hurrah.

Girls Aloud, although we can hardly believe it, were formed on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals ten years ago and there have long been rumours that the band would make a comeback to celebrate.

Cheryl Cole has now pretty much gone and confirmed this to be true. Speaking to Daybreak, she said: 'Our tenth anniversary is this year which is insane. It's a massive achievement. It's just exciting to be back doing something.'

When asked when it would be happening, she teased: 'Well our birthday is in November…'

The band have been on a hiatus since 2009 and rumours of feuds between the other girls - Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Sarah Harding - and Nadine Coyle were rife, although they seemed to patch up their differences on a night out in June.

We can't wait to see what the girls have in store!
