Britney Spears was off to a wobbly start at the X Factor US auditions as she stumbled on her platform heels

Britney Spears got off to a wobbly start as she stumbled in her platform heels at the latest round of X Factor auditions in America.

Looking demure in a girly, white frock, the singer struggled to keep her composure as she stepped out of the black SUV and narrowly avoided falling off her sky-high platforms.

Thankfully the superstar avoided taking a spill and went on to greet fans on the red carpet before joining her fellow judges at the Kansas city auditions.

We're still so intrigued to see how Britney is doing as a judge on the reality show. So far, she's received a mixed reaction from the audience with some calling her 'robot-like' and 'scripted', while there have also been claims that due to reportedly suffering from ADHD, the 30-year-old keeps walking off set, much to everyone's annoyance.

Whatever the singer's judging skills are like, this series of the X Factor USA looks set to be a dramatic one. The latest news from the auditions in the States is that all four judges - Britney, producer LA Reid, Demi Lovato and Louis Walsh, who is standing in for a sick Simon Cowell - all walked out on a contestant who would only perform with his back to the panel.
