We knew Queen Bey was royalty

When it comes to the royal family, we're fully aware that it's not all glitz and glamour - but that doesn't stop us from daydreaming about having our own The Princess Diaries moment every now and again. It usually goes a little something like this: you suddenly find out that you're royalty, you're plucked from your 9 to 5 and moved into your own lush apartment with a ridiculous number of bedrooms, and you get to swan around in some of the most amazing dresses in the world.

Sadly, we've come to terms with the fact that it's never going to happen. Sob.

But there are some celebrities out there who are genuinely related to the royal family, although they probably don't need the Mia Thermopolis dream considering they're already doing pretty well. Apparently, Camilla Parker Bowles is related to Celine Dion and Madonna, while Kate Middleton is cousins with Ellen DeGeneres and Guy Ritchie.

And if you're looking for A-listers who are actually related to the Queen herself, then you'll be very happy to know that the one and only Beyoncé has royal blood running through her veins. That's right - she's a relative of our Liz.

According to CBS News, Bey and Queen Elizabeth II are cousins. Beyoncé is the Queen's 25th cousin, once removed, and their shared ancestor is Henry II.

If you want to know exactly how they're related, ancestry site Geni has put together a rather handy diagram of all their family links.

Always knew that Queen Bey was royalty? Same.

There are a few other famous faces that have been traced back to the Queen, including Angelina Jolie (26th cousins), Hilary Duff (her 18th cousin), Uma Thurman (21st cousins, once removed) and Michael Douglas (19th cousin, once removed).

Brb, off to find out if we're somehow related to the royals.
