Oh - and Kendall Jenner's ponytail update is your new go-to.
The MTV Movie Awards 2016 saw A-listers from Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid to Charlize Theron hit the red carpet this weekend, sporting what are set to be the hottest hair trends of the year.
Gigi rocked a gorgeous new fringe, Kendall went for a bubble pony (more on that in a moment), Cara Delevingne sported a cool braid running along her parting, and Charlize Theron nailed multi-buns!
Ready to see it all up close? Here’s your guide to five of the best hairstyles you need to rock this summer, as demonstrated on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet.
Gigi Hadid’s fringe
Whether she’s really gone for the snip or is just wearing a clip-in is yet to be confirmed, but what we do know is that Gigi’s Brigitte Bardot style fringe is absolutely gorgeous. Light, fluffy and just skimming her eyebrows, the fringe helps to really frame her face and bring the focus to the her perfectly lined eyes. Look out for more fringe inspiration this year, it’s a hair trend set to continue.
Kendall Jenner’s bubble pony
How do you switch up a basic ponytail for the red carpet? If you’ve got super long locks like Kendall, simply add some ‘bubbles’! Though the name implies that some complicated process is involved, the reality is very simple.
After pulling your hair into a sleek pony, add some texture with a texturising spray, and then tie around three (depending on your length) hair elastics into the lengths of your pony. Then, to create the ‘bubbles’, simply start teasing and fattening out the hair between your elastics by gently pulling and puffing it up. Easy.

Charlize Theron’s multi-buns
Get ready for the multi-buns revival, this 90s inspired hairstyle is back and set to take over the summer. Charlize put a glam spin on the sporty look last night by keeping her hair super slicked and ultra glossy.
Cara Delevingne’s parting braid
If you thought there was nothing new left to do with plaits and braids, check out Cara’s artfully plaited parting. A great way to add a new spin to long, flowing locks, the braid starts from behind the ear and travels along the hairline to run straight down Cara’s centre parting. Serious braiding skills (or just lots of practice) needed!
Emilia Clarke’s waves
Game Of Thrones star Emilia swapped the long blonde locks of Daenerys Targaryen for a choppy bob to hit the awards, rocking a glam take on beachy waves. To keep her locks looking red carpet ready, the actress pumped up the shine for ultra gloss and glamour.
That's one new red carpet hair trend for every day of the (working) week!
