News just in from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 camp, and there is (major) change afoot for one of the biggest fashion events of the year.

In the last few years, the Victoria’s Secret show has become one of the most talked-about fashion events, thanks to its canny casting, no-expense-spared budgets, A-list entertainment and dominance on social media (seriously, last year the show was watched in more than 190 countries).

And to add to the already growing buzz for this years Victoria’s Secret show is the news that the VS show is on the move… yes, the Victoria’s Secret Angels will be heading to Paris for the first time ever.

And this isn't the only Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 first, as it seems that Bella Hadid has just been anointed a Victoria's Secret Angel for the the first time in her career. The clue came when her sister - and fellow VS Angel - Gigi wrote a (not so) cryptic tweet on Monday in which she referred to Bella as an 'angel':

Who will be joining Bella on the pink catwalk?

Big sis Gigi Hadid ruled the Victoria’s Secret fashion show last year, and on Wednesday announced her own return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on social media, making Bella and Gigi the first pair of sisters to share the title of Angels. And now, to make this story complete, we just need the announcement that Gigi's boyfriend Zayn Malik will be performing at the show. Imagine that. No seriously, imagine...

Their BFF Kendall Jenner will also be returning to walk at the show, a year after making her VS debut.

So, what else can we expect from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 edition?

The lineup of Victoria’s Secret Angels joining Gigi, Bella and Kendall will include Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Elsa Hosk, Jasmine Tookes, Josephine Skriver, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell and Taylor Marie Hill. 52 girls will walk the show in total — the most in the show’s history — with 18 new faces.

Will Gigi's BFF Hailey Baldwin be one of the newbie's? Hailey recently hinted that she may be making her winged debut: 'I want to walk in the Victoria's Secret show, it's every girl's dream,' she told the Daily Mail. But whether she will walk at the show remains a mystery, for now.

What is the theme of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016?

A short film, teasing the VS show has just been released. Titled A Very Private Affair, the film is filled with Victorian masks, glittery tulle skirts, horse-drawn carriages and lots of lingerie, natch, revealing this year's Marie Antoinette-style theme.

Set at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, just outside of Paris, it's as decadent as we'd hoped it would be, setting the tone for a show that we imagine will be très chic indeed:

The runway show will be divvied up into six sections — The Road Ahead, Dark Angel, Secret Angel, Pink Nation, Mountain Romance and Bright Night Angel — while Pink Nation will focus on athleisure featuring looks designed in collaboration with fashion deisgner Nicola Formichetti.

The hotly-anticipated performance is set to be a triple whammy with multi-Grammy Award winners Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.

Who will wear the custom Victoria's Secret Swarovski look at the show?

This year, 23-year-old Danish beauty Josephine Skriver — who has walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show three times since her 2013 debut — will don the custom Swarovski look, which was previously worn by Lily Donaldson and Martha Hunt. The sparkling silver ensemble was designed by an in-house team and features 450,000 Swarovski crystals. 'I’m just gonna wear this to the gym,' Josephine joked to WWD, raising the sleeves which weigh up to 10 pounds each. Her matching sparkling thigh-high boots, designed by Brian Atwood, feature an additional 1,630 crystals.
