And why you're about to see her everywhere
Meet Taylor Hill, the supermodel who’s about to take over your beauty world and Instagram account. Discovered at the age of 14 in a barn in her hometown of Granby, Colorado, Hill has walked the runway for the biggest fashion houses in the industry, including Miu Miu, Versace, Fendi, Chanel, Balmain, Topshop and has been in major campaigns for the likes of H&M, Miu Miu and Juicy Couture.
You’d be forgiven for thinking she was the little sister of Irina Shayk with that amazing hair, pillow lips and incredible feline-like eyes, and coincidentally this 20 year-old also started out her modelling career when she was featured in Intimissimi’s catalogue back in 2013.
But perhaps her best known gig is as one of the youngest members of the exclusive Victoria’s Secret Angels club and Instagram guru (she has just over 4 million followers, closing in on other top models in the industry). She’s also BFFs with Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Selena Gomez.
So why will be seeing more of her? Earlier this year she signed as the new face of Lancôme, joining Isabella Rossellini, Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong’o, Penélope Cruz and Lily Collins.
Celebrating the news on Instagram, she captioned a photo of her holding a bunch of red roses with: I am so excited and happy to announce that I will be joining the Lancôme family as their newest face!!! This an amazing day and I cannot believe one of my biggest dreams has come true!! Thank you so much to everyone at Lancôme for believing in me and having me apart of your amazing family.
A sentiment which was quickly reciprocated by Lancôme’s international general manager, Françoise Lehmann, who said: ‘She is a very inspiring young woman for her generation: she is immensely curious, open-minded and has a positive outlook on life.’
Most recently, Topshop announced that Taylor is the star of the Topshop AW16 campaign (above). The campaign was photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and styled by Kate Phelan (Topshop’s creative director).
