And it's perfect.

It was announced last week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had expanded their family three months into married life.

Yes, after months of speculation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are officially a family of four, becoming proud new parents to a puppy, their second dog, already being owners of Guy, Meghan's Toronto-born beagle.

The name of the new pooch wasn't announced at first, known by the public as the Kensington Palace Labrador, but according to sources, he has now been officially named.

The moniker of choice? Oz.

Yes, Meghan and Harry have reportedly named their black lab, Oz, with some joking that this could be a reference to the royal couple's impending tour to Australia.

We're not going to lie though - it seems unlikely!

A love of dogs is sure to make Meghan's bond with the Queen even stronger, with the monarch also known to love man's best friend, breeding corgis herself.

Not to mention, bringing up dogs together is good preparation for starting a family of their own, with rumours that the royal couple could be going down the children route after getting back from their royal tour.

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their new pup!
