Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal baby news has dominated the past few months, with speculation building around potential god parents, baby names and of course the due date, with Meghan hinting at an April arrival.

This week it was Meghan’s surprise New York baby shower that got the world talking, with the Duchess even debuting one of her shower gifts as she left for the airport to return to London.

Meghan was spotted leaving her hotel in a cool off-duty outfit for her transatlantic flight, but it wasn’t her Adidas trainers or Lulu Lemon leggings that made news. Instead, it was her jewellery choices, with the 37-year-old teaming her outfit with a very sweet necklace.

The piece in question? A ‘Mommy’ necklace by designer Jennifer Meyer, thought to have been a gift from one of the guests at the baby shower.

The handcrafted necklace is in 18-carat yellow gold, with a 16-inch long, 14-carat yellow gold chain, but don’t get too attached, with the necklace costing a whopping £650.

There is no word as to what the other guests brought Meghan as baby shower gifts, with one attendee CBS anchor Gayle King explaining on CBS This Morning that the Duchess chose not to open her presents at the event.

Why? According to Gayle, ‘she didn’t open any of the gifts because she wants to do that when she and Harry are back together’.

Well, that’s lovely - we can't wait to see what they were given soon!
