Amanda Seyfried just got very real about breastfeeding
‘Breastfeeding is awesome. Not awesome? Judgement.’

‘Breastfeeding is awesome. Not awesome? Judgement.’
Amanda Seyfried has never been afraid to speak her mind and when it comes to breastfeeding the new mum has some strong opinions.
Joining the 2017 celebrity babies club, Amanda and her husband, Thomas Sadoski, welcomed their first child in March this year, with the couple currently laying low to spend some quality time with their new daughter.
Like a lot of new mums, Amanda seems to have come face-to-face with the breastfeeding in public debate, with some people frowning upon the practice and stigmatising it for being ‘inappropriate’.
However, the Dear John actress is having none of it, joining the group of celebrity women who champion breastfeeding, because, well…it’s a completely normal and natural way to feed your child.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, she posted to her 531K followers: ‘Breastfeeding is awesome. Formula is awesome. Feeding your baby is awesome. Not awesome? Judgement.’
The 31-year-old actress then continued to slam the stigma, posting a quote from writer Maureen Shaw.

‘Breasts are intended to feed babies. With all our progress on feminist issues, how can such a simple biological imperative remain so stigmatized? In a word: sex. We live in a culture comfortable with exploiting breasts to sell burgers, for goodness sake. How would you rather your body be portrayed?’
Preach, Amanda.
