It’s expected to fly off the shelves

We know the current weather doesn't scream high summer (it's currently chucking it down outside the MC office windows), but if you're looking to add to your holiday wardrobe, then this is the top you need in your life.

The off-the-shoulder black top features an eye-catching tropical print design across the neckline (see picture below), and will look great worn with printed shorts, a pleated skirt or simply jeans. Oh, and it's tipped to sell out fast.

It's part of a new collection by Oasis, who has teamed up with the Zoological Society of London to launch an exclusive collection celebrating the animals and conservation work of the world-renowned charity.

Think hero zebra intarsia knits, kissing giraffe motif tees, and illustrated vine prints. Cheetahs, tigers, fire-tailed sunbirds, dragonflies… no creature is too small in this coveted collaboration.

While there is everything from tea dresses to jumpsuits in the collection, Oasis Design Manager, Katie Sawdon told us the Bardot top is the one to watch.

She said, 'We are really excited about collaborating with ZSL! With novelty and animal prints being a huge trend this season, it seemed like the perfect collaboration and also a great way to raise consumers’ awareness of ZSL’s conservation work. Using the wide range of exotic animals in London Zoo and ZSL archives, including tigers, monkeys, snakes, and dragonflies, it gave our well known print handwriting a new quirky edge.

The beautifully printed Bardot placement top will be sure to sell out fast, as seen on the catwalks, it’s the top silhouette of the season.'

But the best thing about the collection is the fact that it highlights a good cause. For over 180 years ZSL has championed the conservation of wild animals and their natural habitats – and the collection created by the in-house design team at Oasis highlights a selection of the key animals that are under the watchful eye of ZSL.

So what are you waiting for? The exclusive collection is available in stores and online now (with more pieces dropping soon), with prices ranging from £29 - £69.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
