A new book has shed light on Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge's shopping habits – and it turns out the royal loves a bargain
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has earned further praise from the public today, as a new book has shed light on her shopping habits. And it's not as extravagant as you might think.
The Duchess has often been spotted shopping at the Bicester Village shopping outlet in Oxfordshire, but sales guru Mark Ellwood has revealed just how thrifty the new mum really is in his new book, Bargain Fever: How To Shop In A Discounted World. And it turns out it's the Reiss sales rails she really can't resist.
A shop assistant told him: 'You look up and there'll be Kate and her same two friends going through the 60 per cent off rack. You have no idea she's there and security must be outside, but she comes in all the time. And she's totally different to the Prince of Thailand, who I heard shut down a restaurant and brought his own staff when he visited Bicester.'
Last year, Kate told the Singaporean senior parliamentary secretary for the Ministry Of Defence's wife, that she enjoyed shopping there as "everything is so contained". We couldn't agree more, Duchess.
It seems marrying the future King hasn't changed her at all. We still spot her browsing the rails of her favourite stores in Chelsea, and she's already worn a discounted Missoni coat she picked up in Bicester Village.
All eyes will be on the Duchess tomorrow as she attends a SportsAid event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, her first solo engagement since giving birth to Prince George in July. Will she wear a discounted designer outfit?
