Prince William left pregnant wife Kate Middleton at home over the weekend to attend the charity Winter Whites gala - but he did share a few snippets on her condition.
'It’s a long old process but she is getting there,' the Duke reportedly revealed of the Duchess of Cambridge, who herself said she was 'feeling much better' as she left hospital last week.
Stepping out at the benefit held in aid of homeless Centrepoint, of which the Prince is a patron, William looked suitably dapper in a smart black tux.
Accepting well-wishes for his wife Kate Middleton, who was last week admitted to hospital with severe morning sickness, he spoke about her condition to Michael O'Higgens, a former chairman of the charity.
'I don’t know why they call it morning sickness - they should call it all day and all night sickness,' the Prince reportedly joked.
The Mirror also quoted him as adding: 'It’s a long old process but she is getting there. She feels like it is going to go on forever.'
Kate Middleton has bowed out of three upcoming public engagements and is resting up at Kensington Palace, having been discharged from King Edward VII Hospital.
Prince William cancelled an appearance at the British Military Tournament at Earl's Court yesterday, to spend time 'privately with the Duchess instead.'
A spokesman for Prince William and Kate Middleton added: 'It is well known that hyperemesis gravidarum often recurs and, until further notice, to allow the Duchess a degree of privacy during her pregnancy, we do not intend to offer regular condition checks or advise of routine developments associated with it.'
Get well soon, Kate!
