Liam Payne and Cheryl have named their son

Ever since Cheryl's baby bump became visible, people have been speculating about potential names, with the bookies’ favourite until this week being Taylor.

With Cheryl Cole, 33, and Liam Payne, 23, announcing the arrival of their baby boy five weeks ago, speculation has only been growing stronger, with people across the globe waiting for Cheryl's huge announcement.

Today it looks like the wait is finally over, with it being revealed that the couple has named their baby boy, Bear Payne.

'Despite the sleepless nights, the couple are completely smitten with little Bear', a friend of the couple reportedly told the Mail Online.

Both of the couple seem to be embracing parenthood, with Liam even taking to his Instagram to pay tribute to Cheryl on Mother's Day, just three days after baby Bear was born.

'My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.'

He continued: 'I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.'
