The Fab Four has been victim to the rumour mill this year, with a lot of speculation rising around a royal feud between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

It seems that this wasn’t limited to Prince Harry’s birthday, with the Duke of Sussex’s 35th this weekend causing a lot of controversy in terms of tributes.

Meghan Markle did a royal first, posting a very personal message from herself, taking to social media to post:

‘Wishing a very happy birthday to His Royal Highness Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex! Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day,’ read the post. ‘You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you ❤️ Happiest birthday!’

‘He could’ve sent a more heartfelt message than this generic one. This is his only little brother,’ posted one follower, while another wrote: ‘Such a pity that those lovely brothers don’t appear to be close anymore’.

There were some however that loved the formal greeting, commenting their praise for Prince William and Kate Middleton for being a ‘class act’.

‘Well done Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,’ one follower posted, with another commenting: ‘Beautiful brotherly love’.

Happy birthday to the Duke of Sussex!
