Here's everything to know...

The Fab Four has been victim to the rumour mill this year, with a lot of speculation rising around a royal feud between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

It seems that this wasn't limited to Meghan Markle's birthday, with the Duchess of Sussex's 38th this weekend causing a lot of controversy in terms of tributes.

Yes, while Prince Harry's message to his wife went viral for being so moving, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's birthday message to Meghan went viral for dividing public opinion.

'Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today! 🎈', captioned a photograph of the four royals alongside Prince Charles.

Some were impressed by the gesture, praising the Cambridges for extending an olive branch.

'This post is a class act,' posted one user, while another called it 'maturity at its highest'.

'Go Cambridges!,' commented a different royal fan. 'This is how you become the bigger person.'

Others however voiced their problems with the tribute in the comments, mainly taking umbrage with the photograph choice, suggesting that it was an odd selection seeing as Meghan wasn't in the centre.

'All these royal photographers couldn’t find a pic of Meghan in the center?!?!' commented one royal fan. 'In a brighter colour???????????'

Other social media tributes from the official Royal Family and Clarence House platforms included a selection of photographs, with lengthier captions - and a lot less criticism.

What does it all mean?!

Happy Birthday HRH!
