Fashion designer Victoria Beckham is adding a range of glasses to her eponymous label, and we've got the sneak peek!

She’s already designed jeans, sunglasses, childrenswear and a hugely successful eponymous line, and now Victoria Beckham is turning her hand to optical frames.

The pop star-turned-fashion designer is adding a range of spectacles to her ever-growing fashion empire after struggling to find any glasses that she likes to help with her short-sightedness, and we've got the sneak peek on the new collection!

Victoria posted a picture onto her Facebook page yesterday of herself in her design studio wearing a stylish pair from the new line and a sporty red and black dress from her Victoria Beckham autumn/winter 2012 collection.

She told WWD about the new fashion venture: 'I do need to wear glasses – [but] I haven’t found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like. I’ve always been quite self-conscious [about this], so that’s why I’ve decided to do them myself.'

With her accessories designs proving a hit with the critics and public alike, designing prescription frames seems like a logical step for the mother of four, who first launched her sunglasses line in 2010.

Victoria, who did used to wear spectacles more in her Spice Girls heyday, has teamed up with glasses gurus Cutler & Gross to create the six-piece collection, which will feature frames in three colourways with an overall palette consisting of black, tortoiseshell, jewel tones, yellow and forest green, as well as touches of sepia staining and pearl oyster.

Handcrafted in Italy, the metal and acetate frames will cover everything from feminine styles and metal Aviators to chunkier shapes and unisex designs.

Victoria added: 'I will be wearing my glasses now, and it will be nice to see where I will be going for once!'

A spokesperson for the label tells us that the optical frames are expected to hit UK stores early next year, but no shops have been confirmed as stockists. We'll keep you posted!
