Every look from Valentino's exclusive all-white Haute Couture collection...
Valentino brought Couture to New York last night for a very special-one-off star-studded show.
Breaking the rules of Couture, the fashion house headed to New York City with an entirely new couture collection — its third this year, after the usual shows in January and July — to celebrate the opening of its Fifth Avenue store.
From dreamy dresses to totally-mesmerising front row looks, see every look above and catch up on all the highlights below…
1. Well, of course the collection itself was a not-to-be-missed moment. The all-white collection of dreamy blouses, sleek full-length gowns and to-die-for minis was everything you’d expect and hope from a Valentino Couture collection. The key take-away trend – aside from the paired-back off-white palette – was that of an over-riding 60s femininity. From cute patent boots to swing coats teamed with A-line dresses all with a couture-worthy ethereal bohemian twist, it was a collection of dreams.
2. Ending with a traditional array of wedding-appropriate gowns, a caped column dress made a starring role.
Clearly Solange’s wedding has inspired even the highest fashion houses to rethink wedding get-ups…
3. Of course no catwalk show is complete without a star-studded front row. And last night Valentino attracted a stellar crowd, all dressed in sugary sweet lust-worthy get-ups. The Frow and after-party was a mirage of pretty brightly coloured heels and statement dresses. While Jaime King and Olivia Munn shunned the New York snow warning in favour of hot-house hues, it was Emma Roberts in her hot-pink retro get-up who stole the show.
4. And a special mention simply has to go to Olivia Palermo’s rather fabulous fantasy heels…
5. And finally, the runway in all its ethereal beauty on film…
