As we trawled through our MC fashion cupboard this week, we came across a new designer that you just have to get on your radar.
1. The label Ashley Williams. The 24-year-old only graduated last year but she’s already whipped up quite the fashion frenzy, and will be showing for the second time under the white-hot Fashion East umbrella at September’s London Fashion Week.
2. But what's so great about it? Her kitsch-chic prints. The birthday wrapping paper-inspired ‘Happy Ashley’ printed mini dresses and trousers from her debut collection feature ice cream cakes, fast food and tongue-in-cheek slogans like ‘born to shop'.
3. What are the key pieces? Her autumn/winter 2013 collection was all about the Elvis-printed chiffon shirts, mohair jumpers and flirty two-piece skirt suits. Don't forget the teddy bear clutches and bunny rabbit backpacks! 4. Put Ashley Williams on your shopping list if... 5. Who wears it? When Rihanna stepped off her 777 tour plane in Ashley’s white trouser suit, the Internet went into ‘who designed that’ freefall.
