The cycling star wore a blue brocade dress from Stella McCartney's autumn/winter 2012 collection to the annual awards bash
Victoria Pendleton turned on the style in a dazzling Stella McCartney dress last night, as she joined a whole host of Olympic athletes and stars from the world of fashion and entertainment for a glitzy awards ceremony celebrating women’s achievements this year.
Victoria took a break from her Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals to attend the bash at Claridge’s Hotel in London, where she wore a deep blue brocade dress from Stella McCartney’s autumn/winter 2012 collection, which she accessorised with pointy blue heels and a clutch – also by the British designer.
Fellow Olympian and former Marie Claire cover star Jessica Ennis chose a figure-hugging monochrome dress, also by Stella, which showed off her trim physique, while Paralympian Ellie Simmonds opted for a sparkly embellished style.
The three London 2012 poster girls rubbed shoulders with the likes of designers Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood, Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard (in a midnight blue strapless dress by Dior), and models Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and David Gandy.
Other notable attendees included singer-turned-photographer Bryan Adams, comedian David Walliams, My Week With Marilyn star Eddie Redmayne, actress Emily Blunt (in an orange Alexander McQueen gown) and songstress Emeli Sande.
