Introducing Kiini, the coolest swimwear brand this summer

There's nothing we love more in summer than perusing all those celebrity holiday snaps. Naturally, we're pretty envious of the exotic locations and plush surroundings enjoyed by the A-list while soaking up the sun, but this summer, something else has caught our eye. And that something is crochet, ultra-colourful and comes in two pieces.

Introducing Kiini, the new bikini brand loved by the celebrity style set. Those in the know will appreciate just how cool this bikini is. Those who don't, let us explain. The Kiini is hand made, embodies all that's cool about boho beach styling, comes in some jaw-dropping colours, and ultimately, looks pretty amazing.

There's no denying this two-piece is itsy bitsy and not for the faint hearted. The micro brief is cut to emphasise the bum and the top is mini, but the fabric and shape is oh-so-cleverly designed to fit perfectly.

Crochet has always been a nice idea, but doesn't quite work when applied to swimwear, often leaving us feeling a little uneasy and every so slightly exposed. Until now. Those savvy designers have totally nailed it with this version, pairing their beautiful, hand made fabric with elastic and high tech materials to ensure the Kiini fits like a glove.

There are no clasps or ties to worry about. Bonus. Plus, the super-stretchy fabric actually works to support, and as a result is pretty damn figure flattering.

Heidi Klum, Ellie Goulding and Jourdan Dunn are fans of the brand, and have been seen out and about in some form of Kiini over the summer season.

The fashion world has long been savvy the the Kiini, and lately has been picked up by none other than Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller, who artfully styled her version with a checked maxi skirt, a straw hat and some super-size sunnies.

Should you be lucky enough to have a holiday coming up, and feel brave enough to take on the Kiini, we've edited our top 3 styles to try above. Just add a white shirt, some denim cut-offs and some suitably stylish shades to complete your look.
