The actress swapped her regular jeans for a black leather pencil skirt whilst out in NYC

We're more used to seeing her in sensible jeans on off-duty days, but Katie Holmes went all vamp on us yesterday as she wore a sexy leather pencil skirt whilst out and about in New York.

The actress was pictured strolling the streets of Manhattan in the black pocket design, which she teamed with a white top, mustard yellow cardigan, tigthts and heels.

The mum-of-one looked happy and relaxed, and we think we might know why. Just last week, it was revealed that Katie is ready to get back into the dating scene following her divorce from Hollywood star Tom Cruise.

But after being married for six years to someone 17 years her senior, she's reportedly on the hunt for someone her own age or younger, according to a source speaking to the National Enquirer.

So is this look the start of Katie's style transformation as she goes on the lookout for a new man? Only time will tell!
