The Chanel designer has reportedly offered to create the bespoke bridal gown for the actress' impending nuptials

She's long been a Chanel muse so it seems only fitting that the brand's designer, Karl Lagerfeld, has reportedly offered to create Keira Knightley's wedding dress.

The French fashion house are keeping schtum on the rumours for now, but it's believed that the design legend will lend his services to produce a truly one-off gown for the actress' special day.

Reports have also surfaced that the star's sister-in-law Kerry Nixon will be one of her bridesmaids alongside TV host Alexa Chung – who introduced Keira to her fiancé, Klaxons frontman James Righton.

Keira announced her engagement to the musician in May this year following a 15-month romance. No wedding date has been set, but reports suggest that the happy couple would like to tie the knot in spring 2013.

The actress has had a long association with Chanel, regularly wearing the label's designs on the red carpet and sitting on the front row at their fashion shows in Paris. She has also been the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume since 2006, when she replaced Britsh model Kate Moss as the poster girl of the scent.
