Remember those days-of-the-week knickers your grandma used to get as an extra birthday treat back in the 90s? A little bit cringe, and you’d always end up wearing the wrong pair of knickers on the wrong day, because your mum didn’t wash them in time. Nightmare.

But now it seems like wearing the day of the week is actually cool, according to the Insta-set in any case.

Fashion bloggers and influencers such as Chiara Ferragni, Louise Roe and Man Repeller have been saturating our feeds with pictures of Alberta Ferreti’s Rainbow week jumpers.

The cosy knits, which come in an array of colours from pink to grey, have turned wearing the day of the week into a badge of honour.

Unfortunately, investing in the whole set might break the bank a little, as they are £405 each, so we recommend sticking to one day and owning it.

Not sure which day to pick? Judging by the ‘gram, it seems that it’s a case of the ‘Sunday girl’ (grey with pale blue letters) versus the ‘Monday girl’ (bright pink with blue letters).

However, if you’re not into extremes, the Saturday jumper (pink on red) is a close contender for the top spot.
