The Olymic gold medal champ dazzled in Alexander McQueen at the annual athletics ceremony
Still basking in the feel good glow of this summer’s London 2012 Olympic Games, Jessica Ennis hit the red carpet in style this weekend as the star attraction at the UK Athletics Gala Dinner.
The heptathlon gold medal champ flew the flag for British style at the glitzy ceremony, looking chic in a black shift dress with deep pink floral embroidery detailing by Alexander McQueen. The former Marie Claire cover girl kept her accessories to a minimum in simple black pumps and a touch of understated jewellery.
Jessica was joined by a whole host of other sports stars at the Royal Courts of Justice bash, which read like a who’s who of British athletics – both past and present. Christine Ohuruogu, who specialises in the 400m, showed off her toned legs in a black cocktail dress, while long distance runner Eilish McColgan opted for a printed monochrome number and a black cardigan.
Dame Kelly Holmes, Denise Lewis and Tanni Grey-Thompson were also in attendance, as were paralympian Jonnie Peacock, sprinter Dwain Chambers and chairman of the London games, Sebastian Coe.
